What we collect when you use Texas Markets, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.
Texas Markets is a public directory of farmers markets in Texas and the vendors who trade at them. This notice covers texas-markets.com and its subdomains. Questions about anything below go to [email protected].
Nothing that identifies you. If you accept analytics cookies we record the page you viewed, the approximate city and country your browser's timezone implies, the referring site, and a random session identifier that expires when you close the tab. We do not store your IP address and we do not fingerprint your device.
The address itself, the reason you gave it — a newsletter sign-up, a market enquiry, a vendor or organiser application — the date, and any name, city, ZIP or message you chose to include. An address stays on one list; if you write to us twice we note the second interest against the same record rather than creating a duplicate.
Vendors, market organisers and staff have sign-in accounts. For those we hold the email address, a hashed password we cannot read, the role granted, and the listing content you publish yourself — business name, description, categories, links, the markets you attend.
We take no payments, so we hold no card or bank details. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not run advertising trackers.
Named Texas Markets staff, limited by role: analytics and audience access is restricted to accounts that need it, and the audit log records who changed what. Our infrastructure runs on Supabase, which stores the database and handles sign-in on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Email delivery is handled by our sending provider. Nobody else receives your data, and we never sell it.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. Every newsletter carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in.
Texas residents may exercise the rights the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act provides, including the right to know, to correct, to delete, and to opt out of targeted advertising or sale — neither of which we do. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR applies to your data and you may complain to your supervisory authority; our lawful bases are consent for marketing and analytics, and legitimate interest for operating a public directory.
Children under 13 should not create accounts or subscribe. If a school participates in an education programme, we correspond with the teacher, not the pupils.
